Equestrian Clubhouse — Concept Design
Freedom, shelter, and constant connection
A concept design for a private equestrian clubhouse where horse and rider share the same space. We transformed a former barn with shelters into an inviting backyard retreat, a place where equine welfare and refined design meet.
A low-slung pavilion with a green roof tucks against the existing brick farmhouse, crowned by a bronze sculpture of two rearing horses. Inside, a riders’ lounge pairs a botanical mural and amethyst feature wall with a Saint-Laurent marble counter and a banquette beneath a glass pyramid open to the sky. The tackroom continues with warm timber panelling, soft uplighting and bespoke saddle storage.
Equine revalidation practice – concept design
Where care, recovery, and identity meet
A concept design for an equine rehabilitation practice, where the horse can walk straight from the yard into the treatment space. The room opens directly onto a covered grooming bay beneath a stained-glass canopy of waterlilies, blurring the line between nature and clinic.
A terracotta-tiled work block with integrated sink, a sage-green apothecary cabinet and a clipboard wall keep the practice fully functional, while concrete floors meet cleaning needs without feeling clinical. The colour palette, soft pink, sage, warm white and forest green, helps to lower the heart rate of both horse and human. A treatment space designed for the welfare of the patient and the working day of the practitioner.

Showroom and office for Callewood
Currently in realisation
An office and showroom for Callewood, currently under construction. The existing building, an industrial build with raw brick and concrete floor offered to be a challenge. The new design preserves that industrial spine and layers it with a wooden material library wall, a custom green workspace bathed in concealed cove lighting, and a private office overlooking the workshop floor. Outside, dark-painted brickwork, a vertical timber gable and a discreet “C” emblem turn the facade into the ateliers first sample piece. Every surface is chosen as a demonstration of what the maker does, the building itself becomes the portfolio.

Mantra Market — Nepalese foodstore
Mantra Market in Leuven, a local foodstore transformed from an empty white shell into a destination that tells the story of Nepal and the wider Himalaya the moment you walk in. A graphic mountain mural in terracotta, slate-blue and ochre runs along the walls as a horizon line, while authentic hand-engraved Nepalese pendant lamps hang from the raw concrete ceiling and cast a warm filament glow over the produce. An ornate pressed-tin feature wall marks the back office, balanced by industrial steel shelving and a dark floor. A retail space where shopping for sake, soju, momo wrappers or marigolds becomes a small cultural journey.

Vlaams Welzijnsverbond — Office Renovation
A full office renovation for Vlaams Welzijnsverbond designed for Studio Dar, transforming a tired open-plan layout, harsh ceiling lighting and anonymous corridors into a workplace that reflects the organisation’s social mission. Activity-based zones now sit alongside enclosed focus rooms with terracotta walls and glass doors, a generous kitchen and lounge where colleagues actually meet, and quieter flex desks for concentrated work. Acoustic ceilings, soft carpet, warm timber finishes and a calmer colour palette replace the clinical greys, while existing daylight is finally allowed to do its work. A sector that takes care of people deserves a building that takes care of its team every choice was made with their daily wellbeing in mind.

Rooftop Mechelen — Total remodelling
A penthouse in the heart of Mechelen, designed as a complete interior where every surface, line and light source join a common conversation. Bespoke cabinetry in cement-finish and dark green oak, follows the curves of the building, opening onto a marble dining table beneath a sculptural ring chandelier. Green-gold marble veined stone flows from the kitchen splash into the high-end bathroom, balanced by warm timber, brass tapware and softly diffused linen curtains that catch the late afternoon light. Concealed laundry, a tucked-away pantry and integrated lighting keep the everyday out of sight, so the home feels uncluttered without being cold. A thoroughly considered residence: refined, layered, and built around the way the residents actually live.

Open-Plan Living with Designer Kitchen
An open-plan family living area, inviting kitchen, spacious dining room and lounge. The kitchen island in honed dark stone anchors the space, lit by a sculptural floating extractor suspended on slender cables. A built-in wine fridge and a glass door to the pantry are folded into a wall of dark oak cabinetry, while a three-sided fireplace divides the dining and lounge zones without closing them off. Above the dining table, a generous skylight pulls daylight deep into the plan, and warm terracotta walls soften the more graphic black and stone elements. A home designed for cooking, hosting and slow Sunday afternoons in equal measure.
